The LS MT342HC is a 42 HP compact utility tractor from the LS MT3 Series with Hydrostatic Transmission (HST), powered by a 3-cylinder liquid-cooled turbocharged diesel engine with CRDI, Tier 4 certified. Engine model L3C19-T. Rated speed 2,600 RPM. Displacement 114.7 cubic inches. Fuel tank capacity 12.4 gallons cab or 10.6 gallons ROPS. Alternator 12V at 70 amps. PTO horsepower 35.7 hydrostatic or 33.6 gear. Transmission hydrostatic HST with 3 ranges. 16 forward and 16 reverse speeds available in gear configuration. Brakes wet multi-disc. Maintenance requirements from the LS MT342HC operator’s manual include first 50-hour service check completion per chapter 5-4. Engine oil and filter at specified intervals with approved grades. Hydraulic fluid changes at recommended intervals with approved fluid only. OAT coolant required — never mix with conventional coolant. Biodiesel approved to B7 per EN14214 or ASTM D6751 only — non-compliant fuel voids warranty. DPF regeneration management per chapter 3-1-(8), cycles last 15 to 25 minutes. Wheel bolt torque verification after break-in and at regular intervals. Tire pressure checks when ballast is added. Grease all fittings per schedule. Battery maintenance per chapter 5-15-(3). Fan belt and alternator check per chapter 5-6. Hydraulic hoses inspected periodically and replaced only by authorized dealer. Emission system service by certified technician only — tampering is prohibited by law.

Safety requirements include three-point mounting contact at all times, seat belt use with ROPS, no operation on unsafe slopes, PTO disengagement before leaving seat, no operation near power lines or during lightning, PPE use including footwear, eye protection, gloves, and hearing protection. No unauthorized modifications to safety structures, engine settings, transmission, hydraulics, or control systems.
